Here’s what your Soprano ICE experience will look like at Affinity MedSpa.

Your treatment session will last anywhere from 5-60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Prior to beginning your treatment, you will receive protective eyewear.

One of our experienced technicians will then apply a handpiece to the treatment area using an “in-motion” technique, which emits the patented laser energy technology while simultaneously cooling the skin to minimize burns on the skin surface and extend treatment time for maximum efficacy and comfort. 

As the application technique accumulates heat, the laser energy is absorbed by the hair follicles, ultimately destroying them. Once the hair follicle is destroyed and/or permanently damaged, it is unable to grow.

Your hair naturally grows in three different stages, and not all of your hair is in the same stage at the same time. A Soprano ICE Laser Hair Removal treatment only targets hair in the active phase of growth, so when an area is treated, only a percentage of your hair follicles will be affected. To effectively reduce unwanted hair, you will likely need at least 3-6 treatment sessions spaced out every 6-8 weeks. Larger treatment areas will need more sessions for optimal results.

Every patient is different, so results will vary, but for many, this treatment plan produces dramatic—if not permanent—results. Others may need follow-up sessions every 6-12 months.

Following your session, you may experience temporary redness and irritation. There is no downtime required, but you should avoid:

• Shaving the area for 72 hours

1064 nm Nd:YAG is effective at improving skin tone, reducing wrinkles, and fine lines, and improving sun damage, and is ideal for darker skin tones.

This is achieved by the application of precise pulses of light and heat to clusters of melanin in the skin.
